How to Install Ink in an HP 5610v
- 1). Turn on your HP 5610v printer. Load the input tray with plain white paper.
- 2). Flip down the door on the front right side of the printer to access the ink cartridge holder.
- 3). Unwrap your new ink cartridges and then grasp the pink plastic tab attached to the tape on the tricolor cartridge. Pull the tab and tape carefully from the back and front of the cartridge.
- 4). Pick up the tricolor cartridge by its sides with the back facing away from you and angled up slightly.
- 5). Push the cartridge into the slot and then press up on the front of the cartridge to snap it into the slot.
- 6). Repeat with the black or photo cartridge in the right slot.
- 7). Lift up and close the access door, wait for an alignment message to appear on the console display and then press the "OK" key. An alignment page should print out.
- 8). Open the scanner lid, place the page front down on the glass aligned to the front edge and left corner, and then close the lid and press the "OK" key.
- 9). Wait for the "On" light to stop blinking and a second message to appear on the display confirming that the alignment process has ended. Dispose of the paper and use the printer as needed.
