How to Install Bluetooth on an IBM T60
- 1). Turn the ThinkPad T60 completely off. Remove the battery pack and position the computer in front of you with the screen opened.
- 2). Use a flat-head screwdriver or other thin tool to carefully pry the two square screw covers from the top part of the ThinkPad T60 screen. Repeat this with the three rectangular screw covers on the sides of the screen and the three round covers on the bottom of the screen. If you remove the covers carefully, you will be able to stick them back on after finishing the procedure.
- 3). Unscrew all of the Phillips-head screws under the screw covers that you removed. When you are done, you will have removed eight screws.
- 4). Push the release tab in the upper-right corner of the ThinkPad T60 screen to the right to release the plastic bezel from the screen. Lift the bezel directly off of the screen, being careful not to scratch the display. The empty connector for the Bluetooth card is under the plastic bezel, in the bottom-left corner of the display assembly.
- 5). Push the Bluetooth card into the empty connector carefully, making sure that the screw hole on the side of the card lines up with the mounting hole beneath it. Screw the Bluetooth card down with the included Phillips-head screw.
- 6). Place the plastic bezel back on top of the ThinkPad T60 screen and press down until the release tab in the corner of the screen clicks.
- 7). Replace the eight Phillips-head screws that you removed from the ThinkPad T60 screen.
- 8). Push all of the screw covers back into their original positions.
